Swan Lake

Spent the last few days canoeing the Swan Lake system in the Kenai Wilderness. A great time for sure. Saw lots of loons, many swans and a momma black bear with three cubs. Beautiful campsite. Canoeing brought back childhood memories of the Royal Ambassador canoe outings on the San Marcos and Guadalupe Rivers. Portaging was harder than I anticipated; paddleing is easier than toting for sure.

Hey Mark! Wow! I envy you so much! I would love to have an "occupation" like you! lol I went camping in Arkansas 3 weekends ago by myself. Almost stepped on a HUGE timber rattler! It was only for 4 days and I did not want to go back home! I would love to take my tent and travel all over the U.S.A. but I can't afford it. I haven't won the lottery yet! ha ha Guess I won't ever, since I don't play! Anyway, I love reading your blogs....keep'm coming! ;-) Take care.....wish I could be there!
