Global Warming

Not sure the local weather supports the theory (sorry Al Gore) as we are headed for possibly the coldest summer on record. Coldest summer being the one with the fewest days at or over 65. Half way there as summer is dwindling fast. So far we have had 7 days at or above 65. The fewest on record is 16 days. Snow up in the Chugach last night while we have been getting rain pretty steady the past week. Rainy and 47 this morning. Good sleeping weather but I am all caught up on my sleep. I need some wood cutting weather.

My neighbors went dipnetting over the weekend. Lady luck wasn't with them. They did manage 7 fish, but Jesse stabbed herself with a knife so they had an unscheduled stop at the hospital for staples. They gave me two nice red salmon steaks which I cooked Tuesday night. Very fresh and tasty. As the pictures above show the rest was "canned." The jalepeno adds a nice touch.
